In a narrow valley between red & green hills, 28 miles from Jaipur, this
18th century palace, built in the shadow of a small fort, the Samode Palace
towers over its little village. The palace has splendidly painted & enameled
public rooms, including a grand 250 year old audience hall now used for gala
dinners. The rooms, which have internal pillars & arches, are furnished
with traditional Rajasthani style chairs & beds, with mosquito net canopies.
Though the rooms are not regal, they are clean & comfortable. There are
no telephones & no televisions. The hotel also runs the Samode Bagh luxury
tents encampment in the Fatehpura village. Location : By road :
