The 400 Year Old Mystique
A delightful blend of the old and the new, Hyderabad presents to the onlooker an interesting skyline, with modern buildings standing shoulder-to-shoulder with fascinating 400 year old edifices - the remains of the city's Islamic roots.

The Nehru Zoological park affords a view of a variety of animals, birds and reptiles in their natural surroundings. The solar Jung Museum displayed a great collection of beautiful objectives and standings on an eminence a little away from the city is the imposing Golconda Fort.

Hyderabad conjures up images of traditional finery- rich clothes and exquisite jewellery-the legacy of the Nawabs, who were connoisseurs of such adornment.
Interestingly, it is the traders in the quaint by lanes around the city most symbolic edifice, the Charminar that stock fine jewels, skills, brocades perfume and objects of art. Here one can shop for beautiful jewellery-antique kundan and enamel ornaments, temples sarees, old bidriware and pearls. The snug shops in Laad Bazaar spill over with glass bangles, sequins, braids and fine embroidery executed in gold thread.
